As a Singer
Samar was passionate about singing since childhood and started covering musical events in small cities. He made his singing debut with the Bhojpuri song “Ganna Ke Ras” (2015.)
In 2002, he recorded his first Bhojpuri Holi song “E Gol Gol Ka Ha;” however, the song didn’t prove to be a success. In 2015, he recorded his second Bhojpuri song “Ganna Ke Ras,” and this song became very popular and went on to receive more than 86 million views on YouTube. In 2016, his song “Ratiya Kaha Bitawala Na” earned him the required fame. Later, he gave many hit songs including ‘Gehu Katab Na Saiya’ (2019), ‘Gurahi Chalebiya’ (2019), ‘Naihar Me Dhan Katvayenge’ (2019), ‘Jindagi ke kinara’ (2019), ‘Korwa Mein Suta Ke Chal Gailu’ (2019), ‘Lela Makasi Maza Di’ (2019), ‘Kakari Bhail baa Kamriya Lapak ke’ (2020), and ‘Dharawela Tharesar’ (2020).

He made his debut in acting with the Bhojpuri film “Vinashak” (2019) alongside Anjana Singh, and their romantic chemistry in the film was liked by the audience.

Trolled for posting about Akanksha Dubey
After the death of the famous Bhojpuri actress and girlfriend of Samar, Akanksha Dubey on 26 March 2023, Samar’s phone was turned off for a few hours. Eventually, he took to Instagram to post a “RIP” status for her with the caption “Nishabd.” He got trolled by the public who blamed him as one of the reasons for the actress to commit suicide.

Allegations against murder
He was also blamed for leading Akanksha to suicide by her mother, Madhu Dubey. According to Madhu, Samar and his brother Sanjay Singh tortured her and even threatened to kill her. She was also not getting paid due to which she fell into severe depression. To prevent Samar Singh and Sanjay Singh from leaving the country, a look-out notice was issued against them on 6 April 2023. He was arrested in Ghaziabad on 7 April 2023.
