Ritu Khandur is an Indian political leader. He won the 2022 Uttarakhand Assembly Elections from Kotwar constituency in Uttarakhand on a Bharatiya Janata Party ticket. In March 2022, she was elected as the first woman speaker of the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly. He also headed the Bharatiya Janata Party’s Uttarakhand Mahila Morcha unit.

Ritu Khandur started working as a professor at Amity University, Noida in 2006. He taught there until 2017. In 2017, he joined politics with his father, B.C. By order of Khandur. In a conversation with the media, one of her acquaintances said that Ritu Khanduri always wanted to be a teacher. She said,
He was a teacher and was very satisfied with his teaching. He hesitated in the political aspect from the beginning, but he did it at the behest of his father. Restraint was original, as it is now fully embedded in politics. After he was denied a ticket (from Yamkeshwar) because he nurtured the constituency very well.”

Bhuvan Chandra Khandur was defeated by his opponent Surendra Singh Negi in the 2012 assembly elections from Kotdwar seat. Since then, he did not participate in any elections. Bhuan Chandra Khanduri was succeeded by Ritu Khanduri in 2017. He defeated former minister Surendra Singh Negi in the 2017 assembly elections from Yamkeshwar constituency and won the election for the first time. In 2022, he contested the assembly elections from Kotdwar constituency on a Bharatiya Janata Party ticket and won by a huge margin. In March 2022, he was appointed as the sixth Speaker of the Uttarakhand State Legislative Assembly. The first speaker of the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly was a BJP candidate named Prakash Pant.
