In 2022, Ajit Pawar was selected for the team ‘Periyar Panthers’ in Krantijyot Mahila Pratishthan Yuva Kabaddi Series (Mens), an inter-district youth league, in which he played a defender position.

- Ajit Pawar got inclined towards Kabaddi and started playing at the tender age of 14. When he was about to start his playing journey, he didn’t have a proper kit, and his friends lent him Rs. 30 with which he bought a pair of shorts and a T-shirt.
