Vishal Nayak follows Hinduism and is an ardent devotee of Mahadev. In an interview, while talking about where he gets his inspiration and strength from, he said,
I look up to a few close people in my life as my guides when in automation which need to me to get some guidance. I’m lucky to have few well wishes. But most of the time if I need strength, I always pray and look up to Mahadev.”
Career
After completing his MBA, Vishal worked in the corporate sector for a while. He later joined a theatre and acted there for a while. In an interview, while talking about his experience as a theatre artist, he said,
I did a lot of theatre. With some 20 characters, we used to take turns in playing each character while rehearsing, so that we got the nuances of every single character — be it the body language, the expressions. I think every actor should do theatre to better himself and I miss doing it now. You can get reactions in a split second.”
He then pursued modelling and walked for various brands at fashion shows. Vishal Nayak made his debut in the television industry with the series Bayttaab Dil Kee Tamanna Hai. In 2010, he appeared in the role of Parmeet in the TV series Preet Se Bandhi Ye Dori Ram Milaayi Jodi. From 2010 to 2017, he appeared in various recurring roles as Vedant, Raj, Harsh in the Sony television series C.I.D. His first big screen role came in the 2012 film Second Marriage Dot Com, where he played the role of Akshay Narang.

In 2012, he appeared in a few episodes of Savdhaan India, a Hindi-language crime show, in the role of Rahul and Tarun. In 2013, he made an appearance in the TVserial Crime Patrol, an Indian true crime anthology series. From 2013 to 2014, he starred in a negative role in the TV series Qubool Hai as Farhan Qureshi. From 2015 to 2017, he starred in the TV series Sasural Simar Ka in the role of Shailendra Bhardwaj. In 2018, he appeared in the role of Agnidev in the TV series Mahakali – Anth Hi Aarambh Hai. Later, that year he starred as Chandravardhan Maurya in the TV series Chandragupta Maurya. From 2021 to 2022, he played the lead role of Manish Agarwal in the TV series Ghar Ek Mandir Kripa Agrasen Maharaj Ki. In 2021, he appeared in the Indian Hindi/Urdu-language web series Qubool Hai 2.0 as a RAW agent. In 2022, he played the lead role of Shiv in the TV series Parshuram. In 2023, he appeared in the role of Vikram Oberoi in the TV series Tere Ishq Mein Ghayal and as Hemant Karmarkar in the TV series Baatein Kuch Ankahee Si.
