He traveled with two other persons when the collision occurred around 5:30 pm ET. According to Delaware State Police, one of the passengers also died.

Tony Khan, the founder of AEW and current owner of Ring of Honor, announced the announcement on Wednesday afternoon.

“Unfortunately, Jamin Pugh has died. “Known as Jay Briscoe to fans, he was an ROH star for almost 20 years, from the inaugural event to today,” Khan added.

Briscoe wasn’t a household name among WWE fans, but he was well-known on the independent circuit and among AEW fans owing to a couple of battles with FTR this year.
