Kurtley Beale, the Wallabies’ star, has been jailed and is expected to face sexual assault charges.
Kurtley Beale, a rugby union star, has been detained in connection with an alleged sexual assault on a woman in a pub toilet in Sydney’s eastern suburbs last year.
Mr. Beale has spent most of his career with the NSW Waratahs, but he also had a brief stint with the Melbourne Rebels. He signed a two-year contract with Racing 92 in 2020. He returned to the Waratahs after his contract expired.
Beale was one of 44 players named earlier this month for a four-day Wallabies camp on the Gold Coast ahead of the Rugby World Cup in September. In a career spanning more than a decade, he has played more than 90 games for the Wallabies.
Is Kurtley Beale In Jail?
Kurtley Beale is in jail, being questioned at Waverley Police Station in Sydney.
On Friday afternoon, he was arrested while driving through the east Sydney suburb of Kingsford. Just weeks before the alleged assault, Beale and his wife Maddie celebrated the birth of their first child. Kurtley James Windon Beale, the baby’s name, was named after the winger.

The arrest comes just days after Eddie Jones was named the new Wallabies coach. Beale was also named to the Wallabies’ extended training squad for the upcoming World Cup.

According to Police, detectives from the Eastern Suburbs Police Area Command took over the investigation and launched Strike Force Titheradge.
Kurtley Beale Arrested For Sexual Assault
Kurtley Beale, a Wallabies player, has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman in a Bondi pub.
On December 17, the woman, 28, was allegedly assaulted in the Beach Road Hotel’s restrooms. She then reported the incident to Police in the Tweed/Byron Bay area, according to a Police statement. The new father was arrested and taken to the Waverley Police Station. The investigation is still ongoing.
According to RA, Rugby Australia, the NSW Waratahs, and the Rugby Union Players Association (RUPA) are all aware of the situation involving Kurtley Beale. They decided not to make any further comment because it is a Police matter, and they understand no charges have been filed.

Beale had previously been fined $40,000 and suspended indefinitely for punching Melbourne Rebels teammates Gareth Delve and Cooper Vuna on the team bus following a Super Rugby game in South Africa.

Kurtley Beale is one of the last decade’s most well-known Australian rugby players. He made his Wallabies debut in 2009 and has earned more than 90 Test caps.

He was a member of the Waratahs’ Super Rugby-winning squad in 2014 and has represented Australia at three Rugby World Cups (2011, 2015, and 2019). His international career appeared to be over after the 2019 season when he left Super Rugby to join Racing 92 in France.

However, he returned two years later, in 2021, for a Test against Scotland. Kurtley has since returned to the Waratahs for the 2023 Super Rugby season, and he was one of 44 players chosen for a four-day Wallabies training camp on the Gold Coast earlier this month.
