CCTV footage recorded Brown and Affia entering the property 20 minutes later while the two women left together.
Shortly after the women left the property, Affia and Brown were captured on CCTV entering the flat with Affia holding a knife.
The next day, Murray was found dead in his flat due to a stab wound that had caused heavy bleeding. The gang’s plan to rob Murray of his Rolex watches failed as they turned out to be fake.
However, Affia was identified as a suspect because he was wearing a rare Moncler jacket that was spotted on CCTV footage in a takeaway shop and later traced to him through the coat manufacturer’s records.
Affia was arrested and charged with murder and conspiracy to commit robbery.
