- As a child, he always wanted to work in his father’s brokerage business. His father retired before Gautam finished college. Hence, there was a time when Gautam could not even pay the rent of his house in Mumbai. This helplessness led him to the television industry. Speaking about it in an interview, he said:
I thought of joining my father in his brokerage business in Delhi. But then life changed when I moved to Mumbai. I started doing some modeling jobs to pay the rent, followed by some TVs. To secure the flat, Rod paid Rs 1.5 lakh and subsequently paid monthly installments of Rs 5 lakh from May 2016 to May 2017, totaling Rs 2.11 crore. However, when she asked for allotment letters and flat registration, Rode ran into problems as Patel failed to provide them. It was then that Rod discovered that there had been no progress beyond the 14th floor of the building. He demanded the money back, but Patel refused to return it. A Patel representative said builders typically don’t offer refunds after cancellations, but they advised Rod to wait and have faith. The representative did not provide information on the status of the construction site in Goregaon.
