Before joining Northwest Whitfield, Bob Williams made a name for himself coaching boys’ basketball at Walker Valley High School.
He brought his experience and passion to his new role, instilling a sense of discipline, teamwork and perseverance in his players.
His coaching style transcended gender boundaries, as he later served as the head women’s basketball coach at McMinn County, leading both programs to the state tournament.

Even while battling cancer, Bob Williams continued to be a driving force on the sidelines, providing guidance and motivation to his team.
