Films
In 2011, Anant starred in the short film Woh 5 Din which premiered on the big screen as part of the Malani film festival at the Hotel Excelsior Creek, UAE. In 2018, he featured in the short film Svah: So be it! in the role of Amit Khanna which was released on ZEE5. In 2019, he starred in the film Mera Ram Kho Gaya in the role of Sahir. In 2022, he starred in his first Netflix special film Cobalt Blue, an Indian Hindi-language drama film, in which he played the role of Aseem Dixit. In 2023, he starred as constable Saurabh Dwivedi in the Netflix film Kathal, a Hindi-language satirical comedy-drama film, alongside Sanya Malhotra.

In 2015, he made his debut on Television with the horror comedy television series Zindagi Abhi Baaki Hai Mere Ghost in which he played the role of Ishaan Palekar. In 2017, he featured in the TV series ‘Kya Qusoor Hai Amala Ka?’ as Dev. In 2018, he played the role of Lord Krishna in the mythological Indian television series Karn Sangini. In 2019, he appeared in a recurring role as MK in the TV series Tara From Satara. From 2020 to 2021, he appeared in the television drama series Story 9 Months Ki in the role of Veer Malhotra.

In 2018, he appeared in the first episode of the ALT Balaji web series Gandii Baat as Doodhnath. - In an interview, he talked about why he does theatre even after debuting as an actor and said,
There is a theatre community in Mumbai that I am a part of, so I was a part of some plays. Then I did Cobalt Blue and Yeh Kaali Kaali Aankhein for Netflix, so one after the other there was always something happening commercially. As a person, as well, I do not treat it (acting) as a profession. I treat it as a lifestyle that I have committed to. So it is because of my sense of commitment to this lifestyle that I never feel that I am jobless. When I am not working, then I have this time to then work on myself and there are so many things that I go and learn. So, I am a work in progress. There is never this feeling that now I have got something and I am doing this right. You are constantly improving and learning. That, according to me, is the best part of being an actor because wherever you go, whoever you interact with there is always a learning and a sense that it is going to add value to your work in some way. There will be a residue of this which you will knowingly or unknowingly be reflecting and I enjoy this nature like quality of being an actor.”
