According to authorities, Jeremy Schobel of Philadelphia, 31-year-old, created fake social media identities in order to get sexually explicit pictures of minor girls of ages between 16 to 18.
All this time, Jeremy reportedly posed as a 17-year-old girl.
The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children received a tip in November 2022 that a user account with the username “sophiavan423” was involved in the online “grooming” of children. Investigation into the case began soon after.
The authorities granted a search warrant of Jeremy’s house on 2 June 2023. Finally, on 7 June FBI took Jeremy Schobel under arrest.

Schobel allegedly used the two phony profiles to connect with young girls as a 17-year-old girl, then used Snapchat to get sexually explicit photographs and videos.
Schobel reportedly admitted to creating both accounts to contact minor girls, according to the police.
