The incident reportedly occurred on the afternoon of 1 February 2023.

Nikita Noel Was A Student At Esher Primary

The Jamaican girl – also known as Joanna – was a student at Esher Primary school. She reportedly rode in a taxi with her regular driver after school before getting out at her usual stop – at the road that climbs a hill to her family’s home.

On the day Nikita Noel died, she had a domestic dispute with her mother. Despite it all, the mother raised the alarm after her daughter didn’t return home and she could not reach her.

The community members and the police searched for the girl. However, she was discovered dead a few feet away from the gate of her house.

Nikita Noel Mother Wants Death Penalty For The Responsible Person

Nordia Edwards, the distraught mother of Nikita, demands the death penalty for the man who killed her child.

As stated earlier, Omar Green, Edwards’ former boyfriend, has been charged and arrested. But the heartbroken mother believes that the charges laid by the authorities for the loss of her only baby girl are not good enough.

“Watching my daughter go down as this hurts,” said the mourning mother.

Even though the person gets charged, in my opinion, it is still not justice. If my daughter goes down, he ought to too. According to Edwards, that is justice.

She asked how someone who committed such a crime could sit in jail and eat from taxpayer’s money while I cried all night.

According to Edwards, that doesn’t provide closure, who favors the mandatory execution of the person responsible for her daughter’s death.

Nordia Edwards asked the government for a change in the law. “You do a crime like that; they find you guilty, then die right there. That is justice. Too much of this is going on. It needs to put an end to this. Joanna never deserved this,” said Nikita Noel’s mom.

Also, Edwards considered calling Omar Green her daughter’s stepfather offensive.
