A well-known Scottish hospitality team member named Lisa Wishart died from an illness.
The managing director of Lisini Pub Company, which owns well-known establishments like Angels in Uddingston, Dalziel Park in Motherwell, The Parkville in Blantyre, and The Croft in Glasgow, Ms. Wishart was the daughter of the former Celtic player Harry Hood.
According to a statement Lisini shared on LinkedIn, Ms. Wishart, 57, passed away at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital after a protracted illness with her family by her side. A brain hemorrhage struck her in December 2021.
As per Lisini, Lisa was passionate about hospitality, her team, and her clients. She developed into an industry spokesperson over the years, taking a stand on important issues like rates and immigration during the pandemic.
She was a founding member of the Scottish Hospitality Group and a champion for the sector. She had also served as a director for The Ben, a registered trade charity.
Lisa Wishart Illness And Health Update
In December 2021, Lisa Wishart suffered a brain hemorrhage. Lisa and her family didn’t reveal any more details regarding her illness and health updates during that time.
Her sudden death shocked everyone from her business, family, and friends. Her husband Keith, son Jamie, mother Kathleen, sister Siobhan, and brother Nicky will survive Ms. Wishart.

Although Lisa developed a passion for hospitality, it was not her first love. After earning her Batchelor of Education from Dunfermline College of PE, she continued to carry on her Father’s sporting prowess by beginning her career as a PE teacher at Mary Erskine School in Edinburgh.

While her Father succeeded on the football field, Lisa stuck to hockey and represented Scotland. She had to leave PE because of a knee injury, and in 1992 she joined the family business as Manager of Angels before becoming Managing Director.
How Did Lisa Wishart Die?
Lisa Wishart died of a protracted illness. According to Susan Young, the author of the official trade publication The Dram, Lisa was a one-off.
She was honest, had a sharp business mind, and was passionate about hospitality. Lisa was persuasive, an expert with numbers, and a strong supporter of morality. Additionally, she was a lot of fun, had a great sense of humor, and was adored by everyone she met. Her passing leaves a gaping hole in her family’s hospitality business.

Her parents, Harry and Kathleen, who entered the bar business in 1969 while Mr. Hood was still playing football, established the family-run Lisini Pub. He also played for Clyde, Sunderland, Motherwell, and Queen of the South. Hood passed away in 2019.
