Jayati Bhatia was born on Tuesday, July 28, 1970 (age 52; as of 2022) in Orissa. He went on to pursue a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from the University of Delhi. Jayati has been pursuing classical dance for 17 years and has a diploma certificate in Odissi, an Indian classical dance form. She received professional training in classical dance from Mayadhar Raut, an Indian classical Odissi dancer who was awarded the Padma Shri in 2010.

In 1996, Jayat made his acting debut in the Sony television series Itihaas, produced by Ekta Kapoor. In the same year, she appeared in an Indian sitcom titled “Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahi” in which she played the role of Bindia.
In 1999, Jayati appeared in the Sony TV show ‘Kanyadaan’ with Kiron Kerr.
Jayath appeared in the serial ‘Sasural Simar Ka’ as Nirmala “Mataji” Bharadwaj which was well received by the audience.
Later, Jayati worked in several television serials including CID (2000), Kitne Kool Hai Hum (2002), Kasautii Zindagii Kay (2003–06), Mamta (2006–07) and Sasural Genda Phool (2010–11).

In 2011, Jayanthi took home the trophy after winning the Indian cooking show ‘Kitchen Champion-season 4′ hosted by Arjun Bijlani. In 2012, she participated in the dance TV show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 5.’
