Gurpreet Saini debuted as a lyricist with the Hindi song ‘Mitti Di Khushboo’ (2014), sung by Ayushmann Khurrana.

He then wrote the lyrics of the song ‘Mera Yaar Funtastic’ for the film ‘Welcome 2 Karachi’ (2015). He has co-written the song ‘Atrangi Yaar’ for the film ‘Wazir’ (2016) along with lyricist Deepak Ramola, which was sung by Bollywood actors Amitabh Bachchan and Farhan Akhtar.
