Who Are Lorenzo Gamble And Brian Pendleton? Age And Parents

Lorenzo Antron Gamble was a 43-year-old man and the son of Linda Gamble and Alonzo Gamble. 

Linda and Lorenzo had been planning Thanksgiving dinner, and Lorenzo was in charge of the banana pudding cake and banana pudding at his mom’s request.

Lorenzo came from a large, extended family. Everyone was supposed to be together to eat and play family games on occasion, Linda shared.

She reminded Lorenzo to bake enough for the family. With 16 grandchildren, their Chesapeake House would be packed for a holiday.

Sadly, everything changed in a matter of minutes when she heard the news of the death of Lorenzo, who worked the overnight shift at Walmart.

Lorenzo, who had worked at the store for 15 years, loved spending time with his two sons, a 19-year-old and a 10-year-old.

On the other hand, Brian Pendleton was a 38-year-old maintenance staff, and fellow member Josh Johnson described him as an older brother who always remained humble and hardworking.

Chesapeake Walmart Shooting: What Happened?

Six people were killed in a Virginia Walmart, and five have been identified. On Tuesday night (November 22), they were killed after the store manager opened fire before committing suicide.

According to a Wednesday news release from the City of Chesapeake, the five deceased victims include Kellie Pyle, Randall Blevins, Tyneka Johnson, Lorenzo Gamble and Brian Pendleton.

Authorities are not naming the last departed victim, a 16-year-old boy, since he was a minor. Five or six victims were staff members of Walmart, a Company spokesperson said.

The shooter, identified by the city as Andre Bing, 31, was “equipped with one handgun and had many magazines,” the statement read earlier on Wednesday.

The Company confirmed that Andre Bing was an “overnight team lead” and had been employed by Walmart since 2010.

The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are digging into the shooter’s background for information on what could have motivated him to attack.

“Law enforcement will do what they can, and I promise you, more information will follow,” Mayor of Chesapeake Rick West stated in a video message posted Wednesday evening.

Authorities have requested everyone to pray for the family and friends of the community members who have been lost. 

“The City of Chesapeake has always been known as the ‘City That Cares,’ and we need it now more than ever,” a press release said.

The recent violence in the Walmart store marks yet another mass shooting in a Virginia city traditionally perceived as safe.

Earlier this month, a 22-year-old student allegedly opened Fire on fellow students at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, only 170 miles west of Chesapeake. He was accused of killing three students returning from a field trip to Washington, DC.

Last weekend, another 22-year-old shot and killed five people and injured 19 others at an LGBTQ nightclub in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

The United States has seen over 600 mass shootings so far this year, per the Gun Violence Archive. Mass shootings as generally defined as those in which four or more people, excluding the assailant, are shot.
