The culprit responsible for the unintentional shooting in Carbon County three years ago, Colton James Price, was killed while held in jail.
The offender was detained on Friday and lodged in the Carbon County Jail while being investigated for a murder, a firearm discharge, and obstruction of justice.
According to court records, Colton was convicted of misdemeanor drug and theft charges and was placed on two years of probation before the mudered.
James, during his investigation, revealed he pointed the weapon and shot the victim unintentionally due to accidental shooting injuries sustained as a result of that gunshot wound resulting in the victim’s death.

According to the 7th District Court in Carbon County, the 27-year-old suspect was charged on December 1 with murder, obstructing the course of justice, and felony discharge of a firearm.

He was later captured by Carbon County sheriff’s officers while on the run from Adult Probation and Parole, according to the Police. After he disobeyed the terms of his probation, a warrant was issued for his arrest.
Following the event, the authorities turned over witness statements and additional material to the Rocky Mountain Regional Computer Forensics Laboratory and the Utah State Crime Lab for further case investigation.

She was working as a caregiver to an extraordinary lady at the time of her passing and was enrolled at Salt Lake Community College.
At an early age, she was diagnosed with a mental illness and experienced depression, anxiety, and other unpleasant side effects, often causing a roller coaster.
The victim was survived by her parents, brother J.D., and niece, Kyah Lola, J.D.’s girlfriend, Teressa Hess and her daughter Dadeian, Midvale, UT., sister, Vanessa (Keith) Mahana, Eagle, ID., an enormous family of aunts, uncles and cousins, special friend, Colton Price.
Ashlie’s mass funeral was organized on December 28, 2019, at 10:00 am, at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in East Carbon.
