Tiffany Nicole Stokes has been charged with the Fentanyl related death of her 20-month-old son. The toddler died over the summer after ingesting a lethal amount of Fentanyl, confirmed authorities on 9 December 2022.
According to Prince William Country Department, the mother reported her son’s unconsciousness at about 3 am on June 2022 from an apartment on Soapstone Drive in Gainesville. Tiffany reportedly said she found her baby unconscious in bed.
The 20-month-old boy was taken to the hospital, where he took his last breath. There was no suspicion of foul play and unusual circumstances at the time of the occurrence when the youngster died.
However, it was until an autopsy result took the case to another page. The result later indicated that a fatal dose of fentanyl killed the youngster.
Tiffany Nicole Stokes Allegedly Possessed Unprescribed Drugs
Following the autopsy result, Police increased their inquiry. They interrogated the baby’s mother and found pills of Oxycodone and Acetaminophen for which she didn’t have a prescription.

The toddler is thought to have consumed the fentanyl somewhere between June 22’s evening and June 23’s early morning, according to authorities.
Investigators also discovered that around the time of the child’s death, Stokes had access to and was using unprescribed tablets thought to be Percocet.

Despite having an arrest warrant for Stokes at the beginning of December, Police officers could not place her under arrest. Stokes turned herself in on Tuesday.
