Recently, a video clip of Russell Brand on Real Time with Bill Maher went viral. During the show, Brand accused political analyst John Heilemann of Fox News from within MSNBC.

The comments made by Brand were directed to MSNBC political analyst John Heilemann, also a guest on the show.

What Did Russell Brand Say To John Heilemann?

Brand and John Heliemann had a little discussion during the show in Real-Time; both were guests. 

Brand criticized MSNBC and Heilemann for not being transparent about their biases and for solely attacking conservative outlets.

He suggested that corporations like MSNBC operate as mouthpieces for their owners in BlackRock and Vanguard.

Brand also shared his experience on MSNBC’s Morning Joe show, describing it as a “propagandist nut-cracker” where no one understood the basic tenets of journalism.

“Just spiritually, mate, if I may use that word in your great country, we have to take responsibility for our perspectives,’ Brand said. 

Heilemann couldn’t stop himself from responding to his comment. He said, ‘It’s not about bias; it’s a false equivalency because you don’t know anything about any of these organizations you’re talking about,’ he said started.

‘You’ve been on MSNBC once, big f**ing deal. You don’t have a single fact.’

During the discussion between the two guests, Bill did not react to it and simply got out of the conversation and let them share their feelings. 

Their discussion went viral on different social media sites, and the clips had mixed reactions. 

Many people have shared positive comments and supported one of them, whereas some have shared negative comments. 

Heilemann asked Brand to provide a specific example of an MSNBC correspondent or anchor saying something they knew was false.

Brand pointed to the network’s treatment of Joe Rogan’s endorsement of ivermectin as a Covid-19 treatment, which was one of the viral and false statements.

It went on for some time; both posted the wrong side of each other, and the videos have been getting incredible views.
