Jeff Mwathi passed away on February 22 after falling from the tenth story of a House in the Kasarani neighborhood. He passed away in the home of DJ Fatxo, a musician from the Kikuyu tribe, along with four other individuals.
Sometime after 5 o’clock, Mwathi is said to have fallen from the 10th story. At the time of the accident, the musician was abroad. According to sources, Mwathi, DJ Fatxo, two other males, and two women were in the House.
The death of a young Jeff Mwathi is the focus of homicide detectives. The officers at the Kasarani Police Station conducting the preliminary inquiries were replaced by the investigators stationed at the DCI headquarters in Nairobi.
The Director of Criminal Investigations, Mohamed Amin, had ordered an immediate inquiry into Jeff Mwathi death.
The DCI reassured the public that the case would be thoroughly investigated and that anyone discovered to have been responsible for the death would be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Jeff Mwathi Death Case: Murder Or Suicide- Businessman Jump From DJ Fatxo Apartment
The window that Mwathi is thought to have leaped from had grills, making it impossible for an adult to jump through, according to detectives who went to DJ Fatxo’s apartment. Detectives are now debating the possibility that the 23-year-old fell from the balcony.
It was also observed that the building’s CCTV footage did not show the exact location where Mwathi fell. Only his body was seen in the footage as it fell to the ground.
But according to reports, the authorities would continue to follow up on both leads as they work to solve the puzzle of how the interior designer died.

After murder investigators went to the apartments to gather the information that might be useful in the case, a new twist became apparent. DCI investigators went to the DJ’s home and reenacted the scene where the interior designer’s body was discovered on the first level.
Homicide detectives took over the investigation into Mwathi’s murder after Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki got involved. According to Kindiki, the matter was transferred to the headquarters to allay concerns that there might be a coverup.
Faith Wairimu On Jeff Mwathi Death
Faith Mutanu, one of the two women, reportedly contacted Mwathi’s partner, Faith Wairimu, to ask about his whereabouts.
Wairimu recalled the contradictory information she had received from Mutanu, who had not explicitly told her about the tragic event.
Mutanu initially questioned Wairimu about seeing Mwathi that morning. Then Mutanu revealed that Mwathi had spent the evening drinking with his group and had occasionally created trouble.

She gave her initial explanation and said she would phone Wairimu in 20 minutes when she knew where he was. She failed to follow through on her promise to call, so Wairimu contacted her to inquire about the situation since Mwathi hadn’t been mentioned yet.
On the other line, Mutanu reported that Mwathi had been seen leaving the House without his shoes or jacket. Still, she clarified that no one had left the building because doing so required the tenants’ biometrics, which Mwathi lacked.
Unfortunately, no additional information about Jeff Mwathi’s death was discovered because the matter is still sensitive, and the Police have not provided much information about it.
