Heart Uy passed away on Wednesday, October 4, after making significant contributions to the University of the Philippines’ UPeepz. Within the dance community that she so adored, her memory will live on.

In 2016, UPeepz was already fortunate to have the presence of an exceptional dancer even before we established a junior team.

She joined us on this adventure when she was just 10 years old, and her commitment has enriched our dance community.
She cleared the door for junior teams to compete on international stages after that, according to UPeepz in the homage.
According to the group, the 18-year-old dancer has been with the award-winning group for over eight years and has “blossomed into a seasoned competitor, leader, and a senior choreographer for our team.”
They noted that she was more than just a skilled dancer; she was also their coach, champion, beloved teammate, and an integral member of their dance family, adding that their hearts “ached” over losing her.
Family Mourns The Loss
Heartfelt appreciation for the generous assistance and well-wishes received in the wake of the untimely deaths of Heart Uy and her family members Mark, Luna, and Chewie.

They have won the World Hip-Hop Dance Championship twice, finished second twice in the Body Rock Dance Competition USA, and advanced to the NBC World of Dance S3 and S4 semifinals.
She also participated in the dance team The Decades, which participated in the 2015 season of ABS-CBN’s Dance Kids.
